About the Catalysts

At the heart of every great workplace are managers who lead with confidence and care.

When managers feel supported, their people trust them, do their best work, and want to stay. And when that happens, organisations don’t just perform better, they become places people are proud to be part of.

That’s the vision behind The Catalysts: we work with new and early managers to help them build confidence, grow as leaders, and create the kind of impact that lifts themselves, their people. and their organisations.

Hi, I’m Katherine, founder of The Catalysts. I’ve spent more than 20 years working in leadership and organisational development, coaching, and communications, across Australia, New York, Dublin and London.

In that time, I’ve seen and experienced first-hand how much managers shape culture and performance. I’ve had managers who lifted me up and others who struggled without support. Those experiences showed me that when managers feel confident and supported, teams thrive and when they don’t, the impact is felt in engagement, trust and results.

That’s why The Catalysts focuses on new and early managers. The step into leadership is one of the biggest transitions in a career. With the right support, managers build confidence, strengthen culture and set themselves and their organisations up for long-term success.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple. We make leadership feel doable, not overwhelming. Managers don’t need theory they’ll never use. They need practical ways to build confidence in the moments that matter.

The Catalysts brings together behavioural science, coaching psychology and habit-based tools that managers can apply in the flow of work. Helping people grow in how they lead, one step at a time.

The principles that guide us:

  • Leadership should never come at the expense of wellbeing, for managers or their people.

  • Growth lasts when it’s connected to real work.

  • Confidence builds gradually, through consistent actions.

  • When managers thrive, their people and their organisations thrive too.

This is the kind of support every manager should have when they step into leadership. Practical. Encouraging. Human.
